Chairman Sweetland called the public hearing to order a 2:20 p.m.

The Clerk called the roll and the following legislators wJre present: Mrs. Baker, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Farrell, Mr. Rhinehart, Mr. DiBlasi, Mr. Corbett, Mr. Sta1nczyk, Mr. Holmquist, Ms. Mulroy, Mr. Warner, Mr. Whelan, Mr. Kinne, Mr. Laguzza, Mr. an, Ms. Chaplin, Mrs. Winslow, Mr. Chairman.

A stenographer was present to transcribe proceedings.

Chairman Sweetland read a statement (attachment no. 1 ).
